your statement is laughably dumb in isolation, but even in context of this conversation--kanye's last album was yeezus. two albums before that, 808s.
eminem fans are funny. they turn up their nose and kanye having other people in the room while he writes, but ignore the fact that eminem will have entire songs with beats, titles, concepts, and hooks in place delivered to him. he just fills in the blanks.Ordinary Joel, ozy, lil uzi vert stan and 4 others like this. -

i think what is trying to be said is that there is a fundamental difference between Kanye and Eminem's approaches to the creation process of the music. Eminem writes the entirety of his actual rapped verses. They are all lyrics he wrote down in his little note pads and random sheets of paper. Kanye, on the other hand, it sounds like he may employ other writers to enhance the overall product of the song, whether it be including their input on verses, choruses, melodies, bridges etc. This is a crucial difference between the two and speaks to the artistic integrity behind the actual rapped verses. Kanye seems to sacrifice some artistic integrity but in turn, this creates more palatable music when compared to Eminem's music (post-hiatus anyway). Eminem sacrifices the accessibility of his music for a higher degree of artistic integrity which also has its positives and negatives. The listener's relationship with the content in is verses is more intimate (different than personal) because it is the literal words of the person, Marshall Mathers. Kanye's music is more of a theatrical, cinematic experience which has its positives, but in turn, the listener isn't necessarily hearing the literal words of the person, Kanye West. These are fundamental differences between the two that can't be ignored when critiquing and evaluating the two artists. I am not saying one is better than the other; that is a subjective assertion that is irrelevant in this discussion.
If it somehow turned out that Eminem employs other writers in the creation of his verses, that would be detrimental to his art because of the relationship he has established between his content and the listener. He would lose artistic integrity and appeal. One of the core reasons why Eminem has remained popular throughout the years is because the listener has been able to engage with his actual personal experience. This is a critical part of Eminem's artistry.ozy, Groovy Tony, FiveOh1 and 3 others like this. -

as good as recovery was, it was literally "fill in the blanks" album for Em...he almost did no hook on his own nor built a beat from scratch with any producer...it worked on recovery cuz it was something new for him so i feel he took care picking the right ones...then he went full lazy modeOrdinary Joel, lil uzi vert stan, Nick13 and 2 others like this. -

Kanye having ghostwriter a isn't really a problem as he is not solely known as a lyricist where Eminem is and it would be more disappointing as his lyrics is what made himFlawlessT, Pablo, Groovy Tony and 1 other person like this. -

No, would be really disappointing and i would see at his career in a different way, probably because he always talks about how rapping is the only thing he knows how to do and because the main reason i listen to Em is for the lyrics.PiitaqL, FlawlessT, Groovy Tony and 1 other person like this. -
