Why is that people keep looking over Champagne Papi's greatness? I hear records like Jungle and it sounds like grown folk music that I could be listening to in my 50s while my wife and I try to start up our sex life again. Out of all the artists with their own section, Papi has the potential to have the most longevity. He's versatile as f---, I can see him switching into RnB at 40 and still be selling out arenas in his 50s and 60s. He could become a modern day Marvin Gaye or Prince. He's stayed consistent throughout his career and never disappoints.

I just mean in terms of forum discussion. The section hasn't been that active as of late tbh, and its kind of disappointing since he's such a great artist. Same with the Kendrick section, most people agree he's great so theres not really much to discuss. The Eminem section is so active because there's so many different opinions, people who like old Em and hate new Em, people who like anything Em drops, people who think new Em is better, I don't know. It'd just be fun to see this section a bit more active.

Real talk though, maybe his consistency has bored people? Take an artist like Wayne for example, he's been pretty up and down as of late. I can see the appeal in waiting for a new Wayne project since you're not sure in which direction it will go, FWA is great, but you still don't know if he's gonna be able to keep it up for this next album due to his recent inconsistency. It's exciting. But I guess people know Drake will deliver so they're not as hyped?

That's the thing, Drake makes you think about stuff. I love artist like Thug and Weezy, but I can't listen to them at night when I'm all alone on my bed. Listening to records like Take Care is an intimate experience that makes you think and reflect upon yourself.

If you see people making jokes about him on here... it's likely satire for the most part. A lot of people will care more when album hype starts to roll out. You'll see.

everyone where i live feels the same about Drake. when he's come with his tour here i hear dudes and girls talk about going with the same excitement. i feel like everywhere i go online it's not like that. and i dont understand it. he remains relevant yet almost no one admits to liking him? someone lying. and it's probably bc of him being "sensitive" but he has that and also some bangers. like with IYRTITL you're still getting both sides, when i wanna get hype i listen to 10 bands, 6 man or energy etc. but then when im driving late at night in my feelings i go to jungle, company and now and forever. he's just so versatile and people hate to admit it.

That's what happens all the time tho, its quiet until the album is about to be released. People are only talking in the Eminem section right now because he's releasing new stuff. The only problem is that there isn't a huge amount of active users on SXN80 yet. once we get there, there will be discussions about every artist all the time.

Look at what happened with IYRTITL though. Surprise release of a MIXTAPE and sold 535k the first week, and 965k as of July. VF6 hype may be quiet now, but keep in mind he hasn't dropped a single or even the release date yet.

Actually, the majority of the forum like Drake. I'd say more of the internet like him in general in comparison to a while ago as well.

I think it's just that his last project wasn't that great. It was good, but it was pretty uninspired and wasn't anything that special. It was kinda just Drake being Drake but a notch below the NWTS era. Also, there's just not much hype for his new album yet because he's been relatively quiet about it.
