    I'm watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood at the moment another essential every one should watch
    And I don't think I will grow out of shounen anytime soon

    I loved the Fate/Stay Night VN but man that s--- was almost impenetrable, it felt like playing a Metal Gear game for the first few hours with the ocean of ludicrous exposition the game throws at you. I liked it enough to want to continue, though. Will probably watch Fate/Zero soon

    well ur gnna love the first episode lmao its a 40 minute long infodump

    its not that bad when u already know the premise for fate though, trying to recognize the 20-ish characters they throw at you makes much more sense in context to the holy grail war

    Just out of curiosity because I can't be bothered to watch it, how does the Stay Night anime work with all the branching storylines and multiple endings from the VN? It didn't really strike me as something that would translate well to other mediums

    long story short, it doesnt.

    the fate route is known as one of the worst vn adaptions oat, and ruined studio deens name forever (even tho theyve been releasing p decent stuff recently)
    it was so bad it spawned memes such as this one:

    UBW was done by ufotable and its a lot better than Fate, but honestly i hated it. I've never hated a MC as much as Shirou from UWB, it didnt translate well to the anime at all. He just seems like some stubborn whiteknight moralfag who wins in the end b/c of MUH IDEALS. the only saving grace is the soundtrack, amazing visuals and fighting scenes

    Heavens Feel is coming soon, also done by ufotable, they did a great job with Fate/Zero as well so I'm kinda looking forward to it. I don't think its gnna be close to Zero at all tho

    i just find it hard to take Stay/Night seriously, its like a bunch of teens not even knowing what theyre getting themselves into, and they cant even grasp the situation and the potential consequences. In Fate/Zero, most of the mages are adults, they know what theyre getting themselves into, and most have actual reasons to participate.
