    I've talked about Clannad before, but it'll def. always be the one I reccomend first. I'd classify it as a Drama. The English Dub does a great job

    The first season is decent, but nothing special. But after taking season 2 into account, the series is widely labeled as a classic. (#7 on anime list http://myanimelist.net/anime/4181/Clannad:_After_Story)

    If you can get through the first few episodes, you'll quickly become attached to the storyline and characters. Some of the themes throughout are Family, Tragedy, Growing Up, etc.

    Also, the soundtrack is spectacular.

    It's personally stood the test time for me, and I always make sure to have an annual rewatch

    Alright man thanks a ton, I'll start it tonight! I should start with the "Clannad" season right? Or is that a completely different run and I should start at "After Story" ?

    BTW, it's always great when an anime has a great soundtrack. Sounds like my kind of anime.

    Clannad is the prequel to After-Story, so definitely start there

    It sets everything in place, and gives you an understanding of each character and storyline required to fully understand the sequel

    Once you get hooked, the series is something that you'll never forget. It taught me a good amount, and I play some of the soundtrack daily

    Have you seen Samurai Champloo? If not I'd suggest that. It's got an awesome soundtrack and is only 26 eps long.

    Thanks for the welcome man. I joined the group, and I'm really glad to see there is a good amount of Anime fans on this site, let's hope the amount keeps getting bigger.

    As for Samurai Champloo, is there an English dub, or is it sub only? Not that I won't watch it subbed, I would just prefer dubbed.

    Attack on Titan coming out with a new anime "Attack on Titan: Junior High"... Ugh they need to stop with the extra BS and get to season 2. I feel like It's been forever since season 1...

    The dub is just as good as the sub imo. If you want I can send you a torrent link that has both sub and dub in each file?

    Slow start, but it'll quickly gets better

    It's definitely a more fun show than Clannad, the characters stuck out more to me as well

    Wait till Ami gets introduced :whew:

    I think it's better than clannad's first season

    But better than After-Story? Definitely not a chance

    I think a good amount of things are tbh

    But I always re-watch it because it's necessary for build up and has a few very good episodes
