Jul 19, 2015 dude you are overreacting like wtf just because she's a low 5 doesn't mean she deserves anything.. plus i doubt she would keep quiet if she's willing to make him pay child support i'm sure if he could go back in time he would..
Jul 20, 2015 @Nori you have kids? With two different women? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...
Jul 20, 2015 I attend the University of Canada Montreal and study the mating patterns of Canadian Geese.
Jul 20, 2015 Went to community college for two years and dropped out. No regrets really. I gross over $60 grand a year now with no college debt. Meanwhile my brother and sister (who graduated from universities) gross $30 grand a year with about $80 grand in college debt.
Jul 21, 2015 Yeah University in Australia costs quite a bit as well. Outside of America, I think everyone sees college in the US as Frat Parties and Spring Break lol.
Jul 24, 2015 My point is nowadays college is a HUGE financial gamble. I'd say 70% of the people I went to high school with that went to college after never found jobs in their majors and are now working at restaurants, etc with a lifetime of debt.
Jul 24, 2015 it is a risk, and going to college definitely doesn't guarantee that you'll end up with a higher/better paying job. i think what helps is paying attention to what fields need workers. in other words, what jobs are in demand. honestly though arch, i'm confident in saying that your situation is the exception rather than the norm. most people in the world who have more education DO make more money versus the person who just has a high school diploma. and i'd say it's by a pretty comfortable margin too. this is why such a high volume of people seek some type of post high school education, whether it be a 2 year school, 4 year school, technical school or whatever
Jul 24, 2015 I agree. You have to make sure you pick a major you can get a job in. That's the most important decision you'll make as far as your education goes. My little brother was an acting major and yea that didn't work out.
Jul 26, 2015 I graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Marketing. It is a fact that in general, the more education you have, the more money you will make throughout your life. Of course, there are always exceptions to this rule. I think the larger issue in the US today is college graduates are coming out feeling entitled to $60k jobs at 22 or 23 years old. The majority of college graduates will have to start with a salary in the $30-40k range. Typically after 3-4 years of experience, they will start to pass their coworkers who did not received an education past high school. The same for advanced degrees such as an MBA. At 23-25 years old, the MBA can make you over qualified and I've seen people have a difficult time getting in the door due to their upward mobility, while that MBA will put you ahead of the competition once you reach your 30's and have opportunities at executive level positions.
Jul 26, 2015 I'll have debt. But I certainly won't regret going to school. There are a lot of things that I'm learning now that I know will be helpful to me when I leave and go to the areas that I want to work in and things that I'm just happy to have the experience of learning regardless. I would stay in school to take more classes for fun and add an extra major if it weren't so d--- expensive. Idk, I just know I likely would not be able to do some of the work that I want to do in the future without my degree. Or I'd have to spend a longer time getting where I want to be if I even got those jobs. I guess some things could backfire. But I think I'll be fine tbh. Some people may not, everyone takes college differently. But I know I'll be better off than how I'd be if I didn't leave and go to school. Where I'm from, leaving for college is probably the best thing you can do if you have the chace. That city is a trap. In the meantime I'll finish my degree in Political Science with a minor in International Development and Humanitarian Assistance, and contemplate adding another minor I guess.
