Jul 22, 2015 Not tryna fight a user I like over someone else's Twitter beef lmao I'm juss saying meek a hundred times more successful than you or I will ever be he ain't need to be grateful for a verse, it's one of those things where stans latch on to other aspects of the argument to take away from the initial point which is what's been happening this whole time, the only reason Meeks little pr stunt back fired is because drake hive went "lol drake more popular let's tweet about that"
Jul 22, 2015 he did very good numbers, how many extra sales would he expect if Drake shouted it out? If that worked should Mr. Porters album not be gone Diamond and have a Grammy
Jul 22, 2015 Think about it though the minority that will listen to the album will more than likely stream it. My point is people won't go out of their way to buy Meek's album just because Drake tweets about it. The album sales would be hurt much more without RICO than they are without Drake's tweet/cosign.
Jul 22, 2015 You aren't "disagreeing" with me here on anything what're you talking about lmao. I brought up stans and you turned around writing a paragraph about how you think I'm worse. I was responding to THAT. Also, if dumbfucks are sensitive enough to get hung up on the language being used instead of making intelligent points than they, as well as you, can s--- my d-ck and f--- off Stick 2 jokes
Jul 22, 2015 Streams still go towards album sales. The thing that made RICO good was that the verses paralleled each other so by their very nature one isn't better than the other. RICO would still be dope without drake, having a verse isnt the same amount of exposure because not everyone follows rap closely enough, casuals would only know drake tweeted it or something, so yes it does impact sales. Regardless, drake is kind of a d-ck for only supporting certain artists, but meek kinda came out of nowhere with this real salty like.
Jul 22, 2015 Drake is a better overall artist than Meek. he connects to more people as well. in reality i don't see Meek ever reaching Drake's star power.
Jul 22, 2015 I've been gone most of the day, so I haven't had a chance to keep up. Has Drake responded?
Jul 22, 2015 Lmao at people thinking tweeting about an album equals more sales. Kanye executive produced, was featured on and tweet about theophilus London's album. His album sold less than 3000 copies. His debut in 2011 sold 2,800. A Kanye tweet didn't change sales much just like a drake tweet wouldn't change much. Meek sold well because of his fan base. Plain and simple.
Jul 22, 2015 Because drake likes showing support to the artist he collabs with and likes. He tweeted about meek mill when he was in jail, has always supported him and even tweeted dreams and nightmares was the best moments of our generation. Regardless, meek shouldn't be salty just because he didn't tweet about the album because it's childish. A tweet still doesn't equal sales though at the end of the day.
