Is 'Ether' overrated?

    Even now when people talk about disses, people talk about being or getting 'ethered'.

    I think it is, considering the fact that it wasn't even the best diss song in that beef.

    Thoughts?

    Ether is without a doubt the greatest diss in history

    most disses are insults being thrown...cracking jokes...this was 100% personal attacks...with the perfect amount of showcasing

    It did what it was supposed to do and brought momentum back to Nas during his darkest times...Is the song itself overrated? The beat is whimsical compared to the monstrous Takeover but surprising worked well with Nas' insults. I tend to flip-flop which diss I liked more tbh.

    It has good moments but there were definitely childish lines like these. Takeover and Superugly had a lot of personal (and good) stuff

    tbh both disses were fire and i wouldnt be mad at anyone saying takeover is better...but i dont think its overrated at all

    I don't think it's overrated at all. Tbh the only reason I think being "ethered" became a thing was because it's easy to say and it's easy to convey. Things like "you got takeovered, you got hitted up, you got f----- with no vaseline" just don't really work as well
