    Mafia III is officially in development, 2K has confirmed.

    Details are thin on the ground at the moment, though more will apparently be revealed at Gamescom, where the official announcement trailer will be revealed on August 5 at 5am PT / 8 am PT / 1pm GMT.

    The teaser image seems to confirm the Louisiana/southern setting that was leaked via a casting call a while back. I loved the first two. I think Mafia 2 was the first game I ever preordered.

    IIRC the console version of Mafia 1 was reallllly poor.

    Im not gonna lie, I didnt experience it the way I should have... I played it on PSP... I gave Mafia II a go on 360, it was trash.

    I don't even know there is psp version of Mafia I lol. Actually i am from country where the Mafia I was developed and from where first ideas came.

    f--- yeah, Mafia 2 was brilliant. Really looking forward to a 3rd on Next Gen. Would rather be able to start from scratch and make my way up the ladder tho, don't really care for the story and ending of the 2nd.

    Yes, can't wait. Played a lot of Mafia 1 back then. Mafia 2 wasn't really what I hoped to be but it was still a good game.

    Got both on a Steam sale but they're just sitting in my backlog. Played a few hours of each but 2 feels kind of lifeless and 1 is getting dated.

    the old white guy in the trailer is Vito from Mafia 2, btw. It was confirmed in a Gamespot interview. The interview also had some gameplay. cant link atm

    1950s GTA best GTA.

    Looking forward to this, but I hope they make the stroy a bit more interesting than last time.

    Well, I dont think it will be beter in terms of open world. But the story will definitely be better and more realistic.
