    To be perfectly honest i feel that way about Aussies too.. but i'm not a native English speaker and i'm extremely fond of dialects for some reason.

    I feel the same way too. For me though, luckily my bf's english accent rubs off on me (others that have heard me may disagree, I've been in Australia a while now okay, I'm back to talking bogan=p )
    But I also notice myself pronouncing some words more english, like but and got.

    im not australian from birth (im with @Immy being from the UK), but i have been living here for over 10 years now, perth based :D
