The fact that arch dog hates this album so much only confirms how good it is.

Man you lose almost all credibility when you say Yela's albums are better than this. Compton is great, 1-16. How can you not enjoy the production on Darkside/Gone, Deep Water, and Just Another Day?

My thoughts exactly. The majority of the album sounds like a jumbled mess of noise to me. And when Dre does rap his voice sounds almost unrecognizable.

I guess you could say this what would happen if Dre produced an album of "today's sound" .... Way better than what's out now, but loooooooooooooooooool it's not Dre.

There a few parts that remind me of him.... but they are very few. I must say I think that 1st half of the Eminem verse is the best I've heard in since 2003. I didn't like the rest.

My Diary is the only song that actually sounds like Dre's voice.

    Is this Dre's "accent"???

    dear god...

Lol totally agree. He's rapping in this wierd growling/yelling voice now. I've noticed Game has been rapping with a similar voice lately and does so again on this album.

Went to a bachelor party and I was the oldest guy there... I'm 33, these guys were mainly early 20s.

they played Drake/Fetty Wop or whatever his name is on repeat. I felt sick. They actually ...liked it.

Anyway, I feel this is the polished Dre version of today's s--- sound.

I do enjoy most of the production and even my most hated rapper Kendrick - I loved his verses. However, why did Dre try to sound like Kendrick by making his voice all high pitched? It's cringe-worthy.

neither fetty wap nor drake is a particularly good artist. there is no fetty wap or drake influence on compton.

also, every time you say i'm pretentious, i'm going to remind you you typed the words "I felt sick. They actually ...liked it." you were at a bachelors party, stop being so noid.

Haha. I tried to let it go due the circumstances. It was more of a epiphany. I must be getting old since these guys were playing it and not in a facetious way. I did enjoy when they put on Truffle Butter. That was it.

Really? I think those kinds of simple trap beats are all over Compton -- just a little more complex than the norm.
