Great read. I remember before the album dropped you asked what people thought was Dre's most important contribution, was it a teaser for this?

You perfectly described how big of an influence Dre had/has on hiphop.

v good piece --never knew the bleeped word in whats the difference was ruthless: "dont resist the beat" totally obscures the meaning a few lines, but the break actually makes the verse stronger in the line kinda

also hittman was on this whattt

How much did it pain you to write "Dre executive-produced Kendrick’s universally acclaimed good kid, m.A.A.d. city and its instant-classic follow-up To p---- a Butterfly." :narshDM:

Great read though! I listened to The Chronic for the first time in awhile the other day and I think I'm in The Chronic camp as well—though I think all three are closer in quality than many would like to admit.

v apt description of Game as well

lol seriously. my copy had another adjective there, they pushed for "phenomenal," we settled on something that implied a reaction, not inherent quality.

Really good read. I couldn't help but laugh at the "remember when we wanted lambo doors on ford focus" part cause it was so true at the time.
