Aug 12, 2015I just feel like I'm different from everyone my age. Everyone I know is into drinking and smoking and partying. I'm not interested in that s--- though man, so it's hard to relate to kids my age. All they talk about is getting f----- up, and b------s. I love talking about girls too don't get me wrong, but when that's all you talk about it's annoying. Idk man just venting I guess, hopefully in college I find more people like me.

Homie the thing is you're not giving these people enough credit. 95% of those very same stereotypical teenagers you just posted actually have unique and interesting opinions and personalities, but you have to put in the effort to get to that point. Half my friends smoke drink and party on the regular but we're all educated kids with our own thoughts and behaviors and dreams, it's just a matter of you taking the time to get to know them and see their humanizing traits. @YungeraserheadMike Tyson, CSW, Disclosure and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

There are 2 huge lessons I've learned over the last few years:
1. Life moves way too fast and we forget to slow it down. Enjoy every moment and memory until our time is up.
2. This is more relevant to this thread but this world is f---ing huge. There are so many places and people we still haven't seen/met so take your time man and eventually you will find those like-minded individuals.Blogs McGooch, Ordinary Joel, Mimi and 1 other person like this. -

In trouble with alcohol though, and haven't drank in 2 years. And I got really into bodybuilding so that's also why I still don't drink.Ordinary Joel, Mimi, Skaff and 1 other person like this. -

Sometimes I yearn to fit in but other times I see that there's no need to if you have a good circle of friends.
Just do you and soon you'll meet like-minded people.Loyalty, Blogs McGooch and Suburban Scum like this. -

I live in a city where everyone does drugs, drinks, and parties yet I've never/will never touch a beer or any drug in my life I don't go to parties but I do go to backyard shows a few cities away. When I went to high school everyone was so quick to follow any and every trend. Where I dressed how I wanted from hairstyle to clothing even with music I liked what I liked regardless. Trying to fit in is for p-----s be yourself and find people with similar interest and most importantly think the same as you. All those kids that I went to school with who were so popular I bet money I'm more popular and have a much better life than them now in any way.
