"replay value" in the sense that you cant just pick a song and play it whenever you want because it doesnt have "hits." The album is too dense and kendrick did this on purpose. I have to play the album from top to bottom in order to enjoy it, only songs i play casually are king kunta and alright. This isnt a knock on the album though, an album should be something you listen to in full.Ordinary Joel, rapmusik, Big Mitch and 5 others like this. -

The problem that people i think have with this album is that a lot of people thought we will get a 2nd GKMC.

It really is, honestly.
Like it just blows my mind every time I listen to it, we really don't deserve an album like this but we needed one, which Kendrick supplied us with. Just an instant classic.Ordinary Joel, Maximus, MSweeeets and 4 others like this. -

Gotta be honest, I was a little bit insecure whether or not TPAB would be a classic (you can only really say it when the hype dies down) but after re-listening it again a few weeks ago, it's just exactly the album I wanted him to release.
Deep, experimental, honest. And yeah, after a dew months it also has a great replay value (especially if you listen to the whole album). What surprised me is that a few tracks really stand our nowadays similar to what m.A.A.d city or Sing About Me was for GKMC. Wesley's Theory, King Kunta, Alright, U, These Walls, man wtf, no matter how you listen to it, it's always magical.
Second classic album. Blessed.Last edited: Aug 13, 2015Ordinary Joel, joeyp363, Maximus and 3 others like this. - May 3, 2025

Though I will say I was prolly a bit too hard on the album recently cuz I listened again for the first time in awhile and it holds up pretty well, ya just gotta be in the right mood for it. Album's pretty perfect up through Alright imo, then gets a bit shakey and bloated...still gr8 though.Ordinary Joel, Maximus, Deadpool and 2 others like this. -
