    Twelve years before the start of the series, the Nine Tails beast attacked Konoha destroying much of the village and taking many lives. The leader of the village, the Fouth Hokage sacrificed his life to seal the Nine-Tails into a newborn, Naruto Uzimaki. Orphaned by the attack, Naruto was shunned by the villagers, who out of fear and anger, viewed him as the Nine-Tails itself. Though the Third Hokage outlawed speaking about anything related to the Nine-Tails, the children taking their cues from their parents inherited the same animosity towards Naruto. In his thirst to be acknowledged, Naruto vowed he would one day become the greatest Hokage the village had ever seen.​

    I'm still finishing the first show. Almost done tho. Think it had 220 episodes and I'm on 209 or something

    The last 40-50 episodes def been filler. Basically almost everything after Sasuke left. But I mean, I'm almost done now so I might as well finish it :manny:

    i haven't started watching this, but it's obviously classic. should i start now and try and catch up or do you think it's too late/not worth it?

    I watched Naruto but only watched a few arcs in Shippuden. Opted for the manga instead.

    My favourite arcs from both series is still the Sound 5 arc and the Chunin exam arc.

    Oh I looked it up after my friend implored me to watch it animated. It was intense and absolutely awesome!

    Also the Jiraiya/Pain fight was devastatingly awesome!

    it's so f---ing hard to get into a show that's like 700 episodes lol I'm getting close to the pain arc (I think) so I still have a little ways to go

    Reading it can save alot of time. The anime without filler catches up pretty quick where you are
