Aug 17, 2015 BAE = BEFORE ANYONE ELSE, DUH Which is an acronym made up after-the-fact, when a bunch of 13 year olds decided "babe" was one letter too long. I only use pet names ironically, and "bae" is one of my favorites.
Aug 17, 2015 but i see it used everywhere, not just for your significant other it seems like it's become a term for your "close friend" or "best friend" rather than what "babe" or "boo" would be for i see people call each other their "bae's" all the time.. kinda waters down the meaning.. especially if it means "before ANYONE ELSE" or is that the point? lol it's not really suppose to be a term of endearment.. or it was and kids ruined it it seems like a gay version of calling someone "my n-----" or "homie" at this point very strange word
