Aug 22, 2015This is absolutely false. He was the one who revived gangster rap when it was completely dead in 2003.
You had Eminem, Nelly and Ja Rule topping the charts before he came along so who exactly was making gangster rap that was popular back then?

People don't understand that an artist this late into the game can't drop a classic anymore.
Something extremely life-changing would have to occur to give said artist the means to get creative on that level.Ordinary Joel, Deadpool, Lil Squeed and 1 other person like this. -

Again this is wrong my man. You're right if we're talking 1999 but 00-02 it was Nelly, Eminem, Cam'ron Ja Rule and Jay-Z. They werent the outliers of rap they dominated it. Xzibit had a good album in 2002 but it was an incredibly pop album compared to his previous work. Which reminds me Xzibit was doing collaboration with Limp Bizmit lol. Trust me I remember those tims vividly and gangster rap was deadLast edited: Aug 22, 2015Fire Squad, Red Rum and ozy like this.
