The comparison doesn't make sense.

Alcohol and drugs are, for a lot of people, addictions, and when you take that out of them they face desperation since they can't even fight the habit.

Have you ever heard of somebody being addicted to "guns"? And even if that's the case, how many incidents? Most people buy guns to protect themselves against other folks that buy guns with evil intentions
on their minds. And since there is a lot of weak people in the world the first group can end up using it for other purposes unrelated to self-protection. It's an endless circle.

Of course there it'll be some negative reactions in America if they illegalize it tomorrow. But nowhere near the level of the examples above.

Enacting common sense gun control laws are not infringing on anyone's rights. It's easy as f--- to buy a firearm without having to undergo a background check whether that be through private gun salesmen who aren't required to undergo background checks of their customers or straw purchasing. Some states/counties have taken the initiative & deemed these methods of purchasing firearms illegal but nothing happens in a vaccume. Pro gun advocates often point to Chicago & like to claim "they have extremely strict gun control laws yet gun violence is really high there!" true but what good does Chicago having strict gun control laws do if the county over from them don't?

The U.S. on a federal level NEEDS to pass common sense gun control laws. This isn't the fucken 1700's anymore where people are firing one shot muskets that takes several minutes to reload.

Maybe because the shooters motives were clearly personal? He didn't target these reporters due to them being white.

Yeah, he was edging Dylann on but that still doesn't disregard the fact that nothing points to him targeting these two reporters due to their race. It's been widely noted that he had a personal vendetta against them.

Because he would have said so in his manifesto. This is a guy that wanted people to know why he did what he did. The background behind this entire event, that's the point of the manifesto. If he wanted to fufill Dylann's mission (of starting a race war), he would have stated so. Instead, he showed extreme anger & hatred torward Dylann. When he says "you want a race war? Bring it then!" He's talking to Dylann specifically. He's essentially telling Dylann if you want to k--- me because I'm black, come try too. He's daring him, I don't think he meant it in a racist way, he was lashing out at an individual who was racist.

In the next couple days we'll know for sure. His background is going to be investigated if something pops up that proves racial intention I'll change my stance but as of now from what we know? I don't think so.

For those that saw the 1st person pov. Doesn't it look like he gets really close with the gun th first time he puts it out? Almost close enough for her to see it out the corner of her eye. not that it changes anything but why didn't he shot her the right away? And I can't tell does he hit her right away? Or is it when the video goes black? It looks like it but then she runs away pretty effortlessly. I've never been shot so idk if that's possible but I'd think she would fall over or something
