    Thought about using Pom Pom style Oricorio since electric/flying is a cool combo.. but it can't learn any electric moves via leveling up or TM. Trash Pokémon!

    Idk why but it feels like a regular pokeball can catch legendaries better than an Ultra ball, just caught Tapu Koko with one :jordanlaff:

    there's a few trash mons/mons that they are like "lol hope you don't want this guy to be good before end-game!"
    take alolan marowak for example, im trainign this dudebro up hard, becomes an utter dudebro of my team and saved my a--- multiple times but why does this ghost-fire dude bro not learn a physical ghost move? hmmm... im nearly up to the end of game better google it"

    cubone evolves at level 28. Alolan Marowak learns ghost-bonemarang at level 27

    I came super unprepared for that s--- with only 7 Ultras and no Dusk balls, I was just throwing everything in my inventory but the fa---- didn't wanna get caught until I just said f--- it and threw a bunch of pokeballs until I got it. I've tried it out but I think I still like my Magnezone better :idk:

    I caught my tapus with luxury balls and heal balls and the like. Don't really care for them either, use KoKo right now for natures madness for catching other pokes

    anyone spotted a shiny yet? I haven't...

    every game since like emerald i prepare for them at like game start, always buy a f--- ton of pokeballs. cause in emerald i'm like

    >wild mightyena

    >HOLY f--- IT BROWN WHAT THE f---
    >bag
    >3 pokeballs

    ye tbh, if i see a shiny and dont catch it im gonna throw my s----s at the wall as hard as possible

    :bookah: lol you gotta level Marowak down 1 after you get it?? that's silly. I check bulbapedia like constantly as I play to see if a Pokémon is worth keeping/raising/when to evolve it. Very helpful
    I don't think I saw a shiny yet. Is it obvious in this game, does it sparkle or whatever? cuz I feel like if it's just a color swap I may not even notice it, I don't think I know the natural colors of Pokémon from like the last 3 gens. Especially when the color swaps are subtle

    I still only have my one lone useless shiny, the only one I ever caught - an unevolvable male Combee. Hopefully I see another in this game :mjcry:

    yeah to get it you're meant to go to some pokemon center where the move tutor is and make him teach to your marowak. apparently the only way to learn it by level up is to catch a low level alolan marowak somehow (if its possible to chain one but i doubt it, i chained like 40+ cubones for a thick club/catching)

    Ohh yeah I forgot about move tutors. I should check on that, I'm finally done with the first island. What does chaining mean? You make me feel like such a newb and I've been playing off & on since '98 :lol6:

    Chaining is when you encounter a wild pokemon, after you get its health to half it starts calling wild pokemon for help, and it's generally a pokemon in the same species, cubone will call cubones and marowaks, and also kangaskhan. And you just keep killing the called pokemon for exp or until the one you want to catch shows up. I was going to say that's how you could get the marowak below lvl 27, bagon will call a low leveled Salamence on occasion As well.
    I have yet to catch a shiny, and yeah @theg you should, I actually enjoyed the cutscenes, gave it a better feel for the story for me.

    Went to Target today to pick up the new Nintedo 3DS XL (15% off sale) & it was their last one! I overheard another person next to me asking if they had one in stock right when I bought it. Talk about coming in clutch. Playing Pokemon Moon on this is so much better.

    I want a Nintendo Switch remake of Pokemon Yellow. s--- would be lit. With art style similar to 90s manga. Or better yet a reboot of Pokemon. Like give us a darker Pokemon show for fans who have grown up with it. up the stakes and action. than we could get a game with the same sort of atmosphere. Imagine a first person skyrim action adventure where you play as a trainer. you catch pokemon and during battles, can take control of your chosen pokemon from a third person perspective. I think a game like that could be really great.
