Pretty much this. As a woman, I support genuine feminism and women's issues; but the "Tumblr feminists" who comment about 'male tears' and 'mansplaining' give feminism a horrible name.

That's not always the case, there is gender discrimination in certain occupations. Especially in the field(s) of science/technology. The biggest divider of the pay gap is the devaluing of women's work. Women dominated occupations like teaching, child care, nursing etc. don't get paid nearly as much as they should. I believe child care workers get paid less than $10 an hour on average. The neurosurgeon can't go to work if he doesn't have anyone to watch his kid. It's just unacceptable.

BUT, lets just say he is support of it. The wage gap only exists because more women preferably take part time jobs compared to men who mainly take full time jobs, coupled with the fact that men have historically and societally been the breadwinners so of course men are more likely to take part time jobs compared to women who have been historically the care takers. Not saying that discrimination doesn't exist, of course it exists but it's not as big as everyone likes to think it is, if you're a woman and being discriminated, just sue the f---er
