    I blame tumblr for that. The environment there is so horrible. Of course I'm all for equality but those tumblr feminists are annoying af

    tentative agree. of course, we need to be careful our (valid, imo) criticism of modern feminism isnt solely a mask for some retrograde perspective, which i worry it often is. but, generally speaking, i think its very fair to characterize social media feminism, and the bonkers politics of todays "radical feminists" to be extremely obnoxious and not particularly constructive

    To be honest, believers in the more old fashioned, left-wing school of thought have been some of the most vocally opposed to many aspects of modern feminist thought and literature. Obviously, there is strong opposition from those you'd characterize as reactionary, but I don't know if the left has ever been more divided than it is now. I think there's been a catastrophic shift from a labour-focused liberalism to one concentrated almost absolutely around identity politics.
