A COMMEMORATIVE coin depicting the Queen through her reign has been unveiled to mark her becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history.

THE Royal Mint has designed the STG20 fine silver face value coin depicting the Queen's journey through the five portraits that have appeared of her on UK coins.

Designed by Stephen Taylor, it shows the Queen all the way from her coronation to now.

"I wanted my design to convey how Queen Elizabeth II has matured on the face of a coin, just like Queen Victoria did," Taylor said, adding that combining the five portraits was a challenge.

The Royal Mint says that never before have all coins in circulation carried the portrait of the same monarch.

"Except for unofficial souvenirs struck for Queen Victoria in 1897, there has never been an official coin produced to mark a monarch becoming the longest reigning king or queen in this country, which makes this coin even more distinctive," Shane Bissett, The Royal Mint's director of Commemorative Coin and Medals, said.

I know, pretty insensitive. I just hate everything about "the royal family" though. hate hearing about them, hate seeing them, just fucken hate the c----. They are literally the Kardashians to me. no different, except they're british.
