Yeah I actually liked that verse for what it was. He's also openly admitted to hating Drake, so I take his comments with a grain of salt. It might be a cop out, but I honestly think they both had an even amount of standout moments. I thought Drake was the highlight on Scholarships, Plastic Bag, Change Locations, and Jumpman. I really like his verse on I'm The Plug too.

he took that from thug lol, thug's original version is entirely structured around "yaw yaw" at the end of each line, but each line is clever/humorous/straight fire usually lol

future's "live form the gutter" = struggle, strife, and success. drake took "live from the gutter" to mean rapping about "being a dog" (but not a pet!) to women.

its not enjoyable for me if it follows up a verse like futures, that's all.

it seemed tone deaf

but its ok cuz the version with thug makes up for having to listen to drake for just one verse lol

I can see the tone deaf argument. It's one of the few songs that sound like they were already finished and Drake just jumped on them. I'm The Plug is another one, except he killed his verse.
