Sep 13, 2015 I love the ability to airplay videos right to the TV with Apple TV. Was thinking about getting myself one of the new ones when they drop. Don't really give a s--- about playing games on them tho, and kinda disappointed they didn't go the 4k route.
Sep 13, 2015 I use a $30 Chromecast, you can wirelessly play videos off your computer on to your TV using the VideoStream extension for Chrome. The new Apple TV is cool, but not $200 cool imo. We'll see where it goes with the apps, but on launch there is nothing about it that makes it warrant a 2x increase in price to me.
Sep 13, 2015 sort of. You install the video stream extension on your Chrome browser and then it asks you to select the video file from your Mac. Then when you select it, it pops up on your TV.
