    and i dont thing recovery aged well. Relapse did, but i liked recovery in the beginning very much, now it is.. meeh. a few good tracks, a few are trash and the rest meeh or okay. i dont listen to it anymore, most of the time i skip them.

    the rhyming is solid as f---. he is using a parody flow and parody subject matter on the track you mention. the album is technically on par with the rest of his work

    Well at least for encore you can say that em truly 100% lived up to his self proclaimed reputation of not giving a f---...

    Ive always somewhat respected the album for that

    His first three albums were technically fantastic, and he had a lot to say. Varied subject matter and genuine wit. Encore is full of a tired-sounding, lazy monotone flow and the subject matter varies from recycled (Mockingbird and Evil Deeds both feel particularly stale) to non-existent (Rain Man, Big Weenie, a--- Like That...these songs are so bad it's genuinely insulting). Even the songs where he's sort of trying are badly executed (let's use Mosh for example - political commentary has rarely sounded so laughably toothless). Remember how witty he could be on those first three albums? That wit all but vanished, replaced with jokes about throwing up and "weenies" and farts.

    Can't imagine how you can listen to albums with songs like Role Model, Till I Collapse, Say Goodbye Hollywood, k--- You, Criminal, etc... and think it's on the same level as an album with Puke, Big Weenie, and Just Lose It. Encore isn't only NOT "on par with the rest of his work", it's not in the same f---ing universe.

    I don't know you to say whether you're an idiot or not. I know that I said anyone who thinks Encore is good is an idiot. You said "half the album is decent", which seems to me to suggest that you think it's a bad album with redeeming qualities - NOT a good album. Which would be a reasonable position to take.

    Well then I don't think you apply to what I said

    If half an album is good and half is bad (which is a VERY generous assessment of Encore btw lol), I'm pretty sure most people would consider that a failure

    Like toy soldiers is probably the only encore track i would put above bad guy, rhyme or reason, evil twin or groundhog day

    I'd put Spend Some Time, Yellow BrickRoad, Encore, Mockingbird, We As Americans, Ricky Ticky Toc and Never enough over those tracks anyday. It had the beats, the flow, the content. His beats and flow s----d so bad in MMLP2 bruh. Evil Twin was okay and Bad Guy was the only good track on there( meh for groundhog's day).

    Sorry but Bad Guy alone s----s on the entire album. If Eminem released Encore and only had "Bad Guy" on it as a one track album itd be 10 times better received than Encore was/is now. And there is no low that can drag MMLP2 lower than Encore, even if you want to freak out the knife in the gut/wiping my butt line from Survival or Stronger Than I Was (which sounds like something straight off of Encore)

    But hey man its all subjective opinions so whatever, but I really think yours is based off nostalgia which is what Em meant on Careful What You Wish For.

    I find those tracks had the beat and flows, but they felt really lifeless to me, like em was just on autopilot, which made them get dull really quick for me, while he sounds pretty inspired in at least a few mmlp2 tracks to me though....
