Sep 15, 2015A$AP Rocky has made a concept album with Danger Mouse.
The rapper revealed the news on Pharrell Williams' OTHERTone Beats 1 show.
In an interview with Williams, A$AP Rocky confirmed he had been working with Danger Mouse, the musician, producer and former half of duo Gnarls Barkley along with Cee Lo Green.
"Are you guys going to do a concept album?" Williams asked.
"We kind of already did," Rocky replied. "Danger Mouse is ill. People don't appreciate that kind of s---. There's no lyrics out there. What's important about this, he told me, 'yo dude, you bring out a side in me that I need'. And I feel he brings out a side in me. We got records. I can't wait to let you hear them."
Keen to be involved with the new project, Williams replied, "Don't leave me out of this album," with Rocky responding, "I got you."
A$AP Rocky recently made a surprise appearance onstage during a Miguel gig in LA – as did Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Kurupt – at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on September 4.
Footage has emerged from the show showing the collaborations, which include Kendrick Lamar on 'Alright', A$AP Rocky on 'Everyday' and Snoop Dogg on 'Drop It Like It's Hot' droppping in over the course of the night.
Elsewhere, A$AP Rocky is reportedly being sued by a fan following a crowd-surfing incident.
Krystina Clowes is seeking $75,000 (£48,128) for the incident. She claims Young Shabba, another member of the A$AP Mob rap collective, tried to crowd-surf and landed on her, resulting in a fractured spine from which she may never fully recover.
As TMZ reports, although A$AP Rocky wasn’t directly involved, Clowes is claiming that the group’s history of stage-diving makes them all responsible for the accident.
