Sep 16, 2015So this morning I got into my first car accident. I was driving to school around 7:45 AM and my tire pressure gauge came on. I pulled into my school and found that my tire was rapidly loosing air. I then made the choice to go home instead of go to class because of the tire. I didn't want to come out of class and have a flat tire. it would be pretty annoying to change a tire at school. So on my way home i called my dad and asked him what i should do, he said to bring it to a gas station and put air in the tire. I then proceeded to skip the turn for my house and go to the gas station. So here's what happened:
I was heading east on the 2 lane highway, the gas station was on the other side of the road. I made my way to the turn around to go to the gas station. there was heavy traffic and i needed to go straight (not make a U-turn). So the 2 lanes were jam packed with cars and the 2 people in the lanes kindly let me go through and cross the road. Here is where the accident happened. The girl who hit me was riding on the shoulder to pass the traffic ( I guess to make a right turn somewhere, which is also illegal, you can't ride the shoulder like that) So right as i pulled out in on the shoulder to go on the other road she hit me. Thankfully no one was hurt and our cars seem to be totaled. But right after it happened I got out of the car and her boyfriend was all mad and he came after me and got in my face. I was like,
back up.
Seriously, all i said is that im sorry and s--- happens and he backed off. But at first i was likethat s----s your fault.
the cops came and they wrote up the report. I later called my insurance company and told them what happened and they said i was not at fault which is good and is true.
Side note : what was so weird about what happened is that Yesterday was my bday, as some of you may know, and i was talking to my parents and i told them i wanted a new car. I even said I have never been in accident before. So to quote the great modern philosopher Marshall Bruce Mathers III " Careful what you wish for"
TLDR my a---
So what was your first car accident like?

I've had two car mishaps before. 1st one was my freshman year of college, I was driving to an 8 o'clock class so I caught the lame school bus traffic for the little kids, I had a banana for breakfast in my had and I dropped it, I went down to pick it up and let go of the brake. My hooptie slowly bumped into the BMW SUV in from of me. My f---ing heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach, it was only my 2nd month with my license. I turned pale and got out of the car, traffic was still jammed fortunately. I just kept blabbering "I'm sorry, I'm sorry". Luckily nothing had happened to the car, not even a scratch. The dude was Asian too and he had a Canadian plate. He talked to his wife for like 2 mins and he told me it was ok, I'll never forget that brah. He coulda seriously f----- me over if he wanted to. 2nd accident also happened in my hooptie about 4 months later. First winter driving, I'm on my way to work and laughing at all the p-----s going 10mph as I go 25 like nothings wrong. I lose control, veer onto the opposite lane, thankfully no cars were coming or I could've got into a head on collision. Veer back onto my lane and go off road onto a little rock wall in front of a houses big yard. Car gets stuck in snow, I'm confused as f---. I get out and three cars are looking at me, ask me if I'm ok. I gave them a thumbs up like an idiot, they told me they were gonna call the cops. I said I was fine and nothing was damaged so not to worry, the dude told me I still had to report it though. He called them and left, I called my parents to come help me get my car out of the snow. As I sat there in the cold though I started to tear up a little, the fear that I hadn't felt at first caught up to me and it was one of the WOAT time feelings I've ever experienced. Just the thought that I could've killed someone else because I was being a cocky prick made me feel horrible. Cop got there before my parents and tells me he has to call his tow truck because its a state road, asks me if I'm okay and what I'm doing. Luckily I had my Target uniform on so he believed that I was headed toward work and didn't even bother making me walk or do the breathalyzer. Basically told me driving fast in the snow wasn't a good idea, he let me wait in his car while my parents came. The back seat was plastic and he had a rifle in between the two front seats. Rather than reporting it as an accident, he reported it as a broken down vehicle so my insurance wouldn't f--- me. Dude was so nice, after that I saved up for a nicer car since my hooptie was kinda f-----. I drive like a grandpa now regardless of the weather, I never want to put anyone else at risk again, honk at me all you want f---ers. Drive slow homie.Last edited: Sep 19, 2015Ordinary Joel, Maya, Worm and 4 others like this. -

I'm a great driver of cars, never been in an accident, never had a speeding ticket or lost any demerit points. but out of the 8 years I have had my licence I have only driven for about 4 years.
A bike however, I have hit ... people while riding my bike. Not my fault on either occasion.Ordinary Joel, camptech, Nick and 1 other person like this. - May 15, 2025

Good thing you're not at fault, you can't help that accident! Make their insurance pay for all damages and then some. I sued this guy who hit me, because he didn't have insurance, was on his cell phone and pull out of a parking spot on the side of the road... got $2400 out of him.Ordinary Joel, Mimi and Nick like this.
