Sep 24, 2015 Not too long ago Young Thug came out with Barter 6, which I loved. Before that I only listened to a few Thug songs like Danny Glover and Stoner. So i can call myself a "New Young Thug Fan." And I have honestly felt satisfied with the majority of the work he has released ever since I started paying attention to him. "Slime Season" does not disappoint. The album comes with lots of greatness. Thug does not disappoint on hooks or verses. The production is 100% solid and at times, pretty d--- cool. 90% of this mixtape is very catchy, not many forgettable moments. Young Thug has been good at avoiding being forgettable. It might take a weirdly delivered line that sounds very "off" or just in-your-face singing with a catchy hook. The problem is that I still feel like Thug can do more. So many of his songs sound very advanced in terms of trap music, and some would be basic if it were not for his delivery. I am very interested in what Young Thug has to bring next. FAV TRACKS: Quarterback, Rarri, Best Friend, Power, Calling Your Name, Overdosin, Again LEAST FAV TRACK: That's All 8.3/10
