Nov 4, 2015 well a bunch of people are starting to get the console versions early from mom and pop shops and shipping plants and packaging facilities and s---. always happens with video games. the thing i'm confused about is the PC version being leaked early. it has to be reviewers with early copies leaking it, because even the physical version of the game on PC is missing i think something like 42 gb in files that you can't download until release to prevent piracy, so i really have no idea how thats happening.
Nov 4, 2015 Don't care about screen shots or any of the negative s--- I've seen or read. I've waited too long for a new fallout game to not be hyped af for this. I'ts not like Fallout is a yearly release.

Nov 4, 2015 woah woah woah wait a sec ... I was ok with with the not so 2015 graphics and I was ok with a dog catching on fire and not reacting but I was expecting AT LEAST a fallout 3/NV type of map, pretty sure it took waaaay more than 11 minutes to walk across those. Source ?
Nov 4, 2015 almost 1/3 of the map is water that's blocked off by an invisible wall, too. so don't expect the other diagonal to be an equal 11 minutes. in the video it shows him getting stuck at the water and not being able to go in it in the bottom right area of land

Nov 4, 2015 to be fair GTA was a freak of nature. that s----s huuuuuuge. same with the witcher 3. i wasnt expecting it to be as big as either of them, but still 11 minutes smh that'd be some next level laziness. i assume you'd be able to get to it. it'd be unbelievable if you couldn't, but it showed in the video a lot of the water in that lower area was invisble wall'd off.. but i mean there HAS to be something there on that island. i can't imagine they'd put themselves through the effort of making it. id imagine the invisible wall starts just after that and you can swim there or something. DLC is supposed to expand it but like thats pretty bs that you have to pay the full $60 (80 in canada) for the game, then to get the FULL game you have to pay an extra $30 for the season pass just to get a map that takes more than 10 minutes to walk across.
Nov 4, 2015 Have you played Skyrim ? Because from what I'm seeing on other forums people are saying this map is approximately as big as Skyrim's map ... So I'm thinking if they can pack a lot of content in it, plus maybe underwater exploration for all those lakes as well as more things to do in buildings/cities it can still be pretty good (graphics aside). That being said I was expecting something way bigger than this considering how long we've been waiting. btw I probably won't even be using the dog, I hate the fact that enemies always attack it first ... just makes things too easy imo
Nov 4, 2015 from what ive seen in the leaks you can't leave the dog. it rail roads everything you say. same thing with the vaultec guy at the beginning of the game. you say "i dont have time to register" or whatever and hes just like "no no no it only takes a second here sign up" and s--- like that. also, dogmeat can't die. none of the companions can. so you're pretty much stuck with them. i don't want the dog either. and they said at E3 that the map was bigger than skyrim, which maybe it technically might be but skyrim wasn't huge in the firstplace, but there was like 1 or 2 giant f---ing mountains in the centre of it that you had to walk around which made it feel bigger. the fo4 guy walked in a straight line from point a to point b with hardly any deviation.
Nov 4, 2015 tbh it sounds like youre just not a bethesda fan, and thats alright. They cant please everyone. They don't make games for the graphics crowd, and like you said never have. So I'm not sure why you would think all of a sudden they're going to start stressing about them. I'll take all the other new gameplay features such as settlement building, weapon crafting, improved gunplay, etc every day of the week over some anti aliasing. But thats me. And honestly, what is so great about this that makes it so much better than fo4? I'm really not seeing it
Nov 5, 2015 but it's not just the graphics, lol it's everything else too. their writing is s---, I'm just using the graphics as an example of how lazy they are. they're cutting corners all over the place. there's no excuse for how this game looks in 2015. it's pure laziness on their part because they know the fans who pay full price for their game will fix it for free with mods like they did with skyrim and fo3. a map that takes 10 minutes to walk across in an open world game in 2015 is inexcusable as well. but it's cool, why should Bethesda be held to any sort of standard when there'll be a mod for that amirite. and what about the absolute staples they removed and dumbed down. unkillable companions that are forced on you, dialogue wheel, no skills, the perks that replaced them are 99% just SPECIAL stat increases.ill admit the gunplay looks a lot better but just about every other aspect doesn't look good. they f----- up everything that makes the game an rpg and got them fans in the first place. at this rate fo5 will be a cod clone. and that second screenshot is obviously a bullshot. they only released it after the leaks started and there was a huge backlash about how fo4 just looks like an fo3 texture swap with some missing features. and the witcher one looks like it's far from max settings and was cherry picked to look bad. s--- it looks better than that when I play it on PS4.
