Sep 29, 2015 have a bit bio exam October second and I've been studying like 30 minutes-an hour every single day for the last 2 weeks instead of cramming all at the last second. Wish me luck just want to make my momma proud.
Sep 29, 2015 I'm taking AP Bio this year so we're in the same boat. One of the things that helps me in bio is actually understanding it, more so than just rote memorization. I've found that in biology most of the test questions are making connections and using the information you know in other situations. So, if I get notes from the teacher, I usually read along in the books with the notes to go over anything that's not making sense. After I understand the big picture of the information, I use index cards to get some of the smaller details. Good luck!
Sep 29, 2015 Thanks.. I was starting to think you were stupid after your rant the other night. Nice to see you have common sense
Sep 29, 2015 Ya man I agree when I read over notes, Ill read like the headline, and then try to reastate the process in my own words, than compare it to what my notes say. Their is just so much to like understand and know it's crazy! Good luck with everything man you're gonna do great.
Sep 30, 2015 Take notes in class by hand (this is crucial) and then make note cards for vocab. You'll retain the info better if you write it by hand as you pay attention to the professor even if you ended up not using the notes much later (plus laptop has too many distractions). Practice note cards until you can shuffle them and get 100% on them every time. It sounds hard but honestly isn't that time consuming if you've been paying attention in class.
