everyone loved it to death until all the bands dropped off the face of the earth

lol. i know bones personally, i like the guy a lot. he's not on the same level, but sure, he's following the same model. i'll give you that.

thug has been growing steadily more and more popular for four years now. he's a genuine phenomenon in atlanta and is critically acclaimed as one of the best artists in a genre with staying power. he's not electro-pop, my guy. he's probably never going to cross over and become a superstar, but neither did gucci. and thug has shown pretty clearly that he's going to have more staying power at radio.

I hope you're right. I hope his sound doesn't get old and he can carve out a niche.

I just don't have faith in assuming he's going to have lasting power because he personally doesn't do anything for me.

how is it uncomfortable? he only keeps on garnering more and more critical acclaim, with each project getting more attention than the last (even compilation mixtapes). He has enough unreleased material just from like 2013 to put out multiple albums, not to count EVERYTHING since then (songs spanning various genres effortlessly as far as i can tell. covers of pop hits that they havent put out for some reason. etc).

hes a child of gucci. producing copious amounts of product isnt an "uncomfortable truth." its the purposeful approach....and theres really no downside to the fans unless quality dips (like when wayne went on a spree).

and as far as thug's OFFICIAL releases go? 1017 Thug, Tha tour, B6, SS.....the improvement is almost exponential in some aspects.

Being that guy who releases 53637537373535753674 projects every 2 months is great for his core fans but his s--- will get lost in the shuffle among the plebs.

I think he is in the Gucci lane and that gives him a low ceiling, but that's just a comment & opinion on the industry.

He has a lot, I have a huge Young Thug backlog lmao.

Maybe it's because I'm running through the 6 but I'm not seeing a huge amount of Thug hype, tbh.
