Oct 1, 2015 Tell that to the U.K., Japan, Germany, Australia, France etc. Gun Control laws have proven to work both outside the U.S. & in instances inside the U.S. California has implemented some of the country's strictest gun control laws in the past 15-20 years & it has seen gun violence go down by over 50% in that time period. This isn't just some media circus that's being blown out of proportion. The statistics are clear as day when the U.S. is compared to other developed nations.

Oct 1, 2015 You can't really compare an island country to a country way bigger sharing a border with Mexico where anything finds a way through. I don't ever see guns being banned here. There would be an uprising of white trash, confederate flag, pick up driving gun owners. I think they realize this and are trying to make the laws a little stricter each year and maybe eventually it will be too difficult to even own one. In places like NYC it's almost impossible to own a gun unless you're a retired cop.

Oct 1, 2015 A vast majority of the guns used in crimes originate from the U.S. though, not from Mexico. Gun control isn't just about setting restrictions on legally purchasing weapons. It's also about removing the loop holes that criminals have been exploiting for YEARS to obtain weapons. Straw purchasing, gun shows, online/private transactions, etc.
