Oct 8, 2015 Troubling new details surrounding the deathof Cathriona White, Irish makeup artist and on-again off-again girlfriend of Jim Carrey, have surfaced. A supposedly "hateful" message from White's biological mother is now receiving scrutiny, a heated message in which White's mother reportedly called her a "failure." As previously reported, White's body was found unresponsive last week after an apparent suicide. During the investigation, authorities have also learned that White attempted suicide once before in 2012 after her father died of brain cancer. The aforementioned message from White's mother was received on her 30th birthday, according to the Daily Mail. The day Cathriona committed suicide was also the third anniversary of her father's death. Though an autopsy of White's body was officially completed on Sunday, an additional "eight to ten weeks" is needed for further testing before the results are released. White was legally married at the time of her passing, meaning her belongings must be given to the husband. However, as noted by Ed Winter of the Los Angeles coroner's office, those rights can be transferred. "I understand that she and [the husband] were going to divorce but they were still officially married at the time of her death so he is her official next-of-kin. However, he can cede his right to her possessions to her family if he wishes."
