Oct 10, 2015You really don't think as "reasonable" as you do when you don't have kids.
It's easier when you're an outsider to parenthood, because you can pick and choose.
I have two kids who are healthy, but if one of them were disabled, or became disabled? I would do everything in my power to provide full care for them.
It has nothing to do with being a good person, either. It's just a physical, natural need to do it.
Nothing about parenthood is "easy." It's 100% unselfish, every day, for the rest of your life.
The only way someone abandons their kid, regardless of disability or full health, is if they're a total piece of s---, scumbag.
It's just natural to adapt to the needs of your child. It's a physical need within you.
