Oct 24, 2023 I really liked the first one that was on ps4 swinging through the city was cool as s--- and a creative way of traveling. All the reviews I watched said it was underwhelming, they didn’t improve anything within the game. I’d still play it but not for $70. After finishing a few games fully I’ll grab this in early 24.
Oct 24, 2023 Haven't played much since finishing Starfield. Occasional hour session of Just Cause 3. Started Heavy Rain last night. The controls are dog s--- but the story is pretty decent so far. Looking forward to Alan Wake/Robocop Rogue City.
Oct 24, 2023 finally finished god of war ragnarok. very good follow-up to the one that came out in 2018. awesome graphics, story and gameplay. it'll be interesting to see where they go from here with the god of war games just started ghost of tsushima. i'm really excited to try this out because EVERYBODY i've talked to was blown away by it.
Nov 7, 2023 Alan Wake 2 is probably the most graphically impressive game so far. But the story is an overcomplicated mess that drags on for a little too long.
Nov 7, 2023 Haven't played it yet but most of the criticism I've seen makes sense to me but It's only because I'm part of the group of huge Spiderman nerds that expect it to be a certain way and have strong preferences. I really appreciate that Insomniac is doing their own thing though, they're too talented of a studio to bog themselves down with preconceived notions of what a minority of fans want something to be.
Nov 8, 2023 From what I understand it expects to to have beaten Alan Wake and it's DLC's and then Control and it's DLC's like last week in order to remotely "get it" lmao
Nov 8, 2023 Finished this last night. Only a short game 4-6 hours but what a game. It’s on Xbox gamepass. Not sure about PS
Nov 8, 2023 The new COD MWIII campaign is dogshit. Can’t believe I got early access to it. I got to experience this brainrot 8 days earlier than everyone else… hooray! It’s the shortest and possibly worst campaign in the franchise. The narrative is barely cobbled together by lazy, loosely structured missions with reused Warzone maps and assets under the guise of freedom by being called “open combat missions”. By the end of the story, we have basically went nowhere. Only like 2 noteworthy things happen in the entire story.
Nov 8, 2023 People need to stop buying this piece of crap franchise. Made the mistake of buying MW2 last year after spending almost a decade avoiding their games. Never again. And this bloated new launcher.. I'm surprised my computer didn't get aids from reinstalling the game a few weeks ago. Deleted it immediately.
Nov 8, 2023 Finally Cod is the worst gaming franchise ever. Rinse repeat rinse repeat. Same can be said with Fifa. No point buying each new release when it's basically the exact same thing every time.
Nov 9, 2023 No surprise tbh. Its made by the worst studio of the cod franchise " Sledgehammer Games" (Vanguard, WW2 and Advanced Warfare), and was easily just meant to be a $30-40 expansion of the MWII storyline for the now scrapped Year 2. I doubt Infinity Ward was happy that they cant name their next cod MWIII ,because Activisions CEO wanted to leave with a b---. And tbh even IWs last campaign for MWII wasnt that great (Multiplayer sadly too), but compared to this trash it was lightyears ahead. MW19 was stellar tho, especially the campaign. I skip this year, but I am curious about COD24 since its Treyarch again. And the rumors say its set in the Gulf War, being a prequel to MW19, since that reboot all games going forward are set in the same timeline.
Nov 9, 2023 Sledgehammer is dogshit. If I remember correctly Black Ops Cold War is the result of them failing to make a game and Treyarch having to come in to pick up the pieces on short notice. Yeah, the early reports that it was only going to be DLC were clearly true. Activision just didn’t wanna lose out on the money and sales from marketing it and selling it as DLC so instead they cobbled together a bunch of reused s--- for the multiplayer and zombies modes to make it seem like a full, brand new game. The multiplayer is actually kinda good, but only because it’s literally just MW2 2009 maps with the movement speed of the last game increased. Treyarch is the only competent COD dev team left. While Black Ops Cold War wasn’t great, it was still one of the most decent COD games in a while especially considering what they had to work with that Sledgehammer left behind.
Nov 9, 2023 3arc lost a lot of their senior staff last year, we should wait and see. At the end of the day ATV decides how good the game will be. And if Inifnity Ward would stop with thier sometimes weird design decisions, like the perk system in MWII, they would be there as well. In terms of graphics, sound, campaign and overall attention to detail nobody touches them imo. I personally still think MW19 was fantastic despite the lauch maps being mostly terrible. They fixed that with the dlc maps furing the seasons. And they gave us Warzone 1 (sadly Warzone 2 too lol), those first 6 months of just MW19 content in Warzone was the most fun I had in a Cod since MW3 (2011)/BO2.
Nov 9, 2023 I forgot about that. I’m not too worried though. I only still get these games because I can afford them and my friends always wanna play them with me… and almost anything is fun with my friends. I agree. I’m just a player who cares more about multiplayer, and I haven’t truly enjoyed Infinity Ward multiplayer since MW2 (2009) although the recent MWII wasn’t too bad. I think Treyarch usually has the better multiplayer with fast paced action and simplified maps that flow well. I quite like Warzone 2, but that’s probably because my friend and I get a ton of duos wins.
Nov 9, 2023 I forgot to mention I bought Sonic Superstars when it came out a while ago. It’s pretty good so far if you’re a fan of classic Sonic
