Oct 21, 2015 http://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/1.681525 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sparked public uproar when on Wednesday he claimed that the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, was the one who planted the idea of the extermination of European Jewry in Adolf Hitler's mind. The Nazi ruler, Netanyahu said, had no intention of killing the Jews, but only to expel them. In a speech before the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem, Netanyahu described a meeting between Husseini and Hitler in November, 1941: "Hitler didn't want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jew. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, 'If you expel them, they'll all come here (to Palestine).' According to Netanyahu, Hitler then asked: "What should I do with them?" and the mufti replied: "Burn them." Netanyahu's remarks were quick to spark a social media storm, though Netanyahu made a similar claim during a Knesset speech in 2012, where he described the Husseini as "one of the leading architects" of the final solution. The claim that Husseini was the one to initiate the extermination of European Jewry had been suggested by a number of historians at the fringes of Holocaust research, but was rejected by most accepted scholars.
Oct 21, 2015 I wasnt there during ww2 (obviously) and dont know anything about the situation besides the crap i've learnt in history class, documentaries and f---ing wikipedia pages, so im not going to comment on whether this could be true or not, but either way i can honestly say Whether hitler wanted to expel or k--- 'the jews' he's still a d-ck, that is a fact
Oct 21, 2015 He's not completely wrong, Haj Amin al-Husseini was a notorious antisemite and even visited the concentration camps.
Oct 21, 2015 Yes he is. Everybody knows Al-Husseini was an extreme antisemite. What Netanyahu's claiming is that Hitler didn't want to exterminate the Jews, but only to "push them out of the country", before Al-Husseini suggested that he should erradicate them. That's totally, completely wrong ; Hitler expressed the idea and the project of exterminating the Jews way before he met Al-Husseini. Silly, extremist Netanyahu probably only wants to provoke the Palestinian people anyway, because he knew everybody would point out the idiocy in these claims
Oct 21, 2015 al-Husseini was very influential and had a great deal to do with the holocaust. I didn't say that Netanyahu's claim is 100% right, al-Husseini actively advocated for genocide and supported the final solution.
Oct 21, 2015 Arabs are semites too tho.. In my mind you're talking about semites of the jewish religion.
Oct 21, 2015 Yeah well, it doesn't really matter whether it's in your mind or not, the definition of antisemitism is something else
