Oct 23, 2015Since May of this year,i have been very sick.
As time passed on, my body started rejecting most foods, then 6 weeks ago, i was unable to keep anything down, so for 6 weeks i was unable to eat.
Last Monday i hit an all time low, i was unable to even keep water down.
I suffer(ed) from a back problem for the last 2 years, i had to take 150mg of Palexia 3 times a day!
I got a procedure on my back 3 weeks ago, & fortunately it worked, but my stomach problem persisted as i still had to take the medication for a week or so as it takes 10 days for the procedure to work properly.
Last week i was an hour or so from collapsing. I was unable to stand or anything.
I was brought to hospital last week (which i dont even remember arriving at). I was sent for dozens of tests, i was hooked up to a drip & at first i was put on an oxygen mask.
To sum it up, the medication f----- me up, the codeine f----- me up internally, however, i tapered the medication down to the point in which i no longer have to take them, my doctor told me to stay on them, but f--- that, If i had my way i would of cut them out full stop, but i would of had a big chance of getting heart failure. I had no connection to the medication. I didnt need to take them, so why bother? so cutting them out was very easy.
anyway, i am getting way better as the days go on, im able to eat & Im starting a IT internship next week. Its all up from here

Anyway, i got an MRI done, my doctor said there was nothing wrong, but i wasnt having it, so i contacted a surgeon/specialist & sent my scans. He was shocked my doctor said there was nothing wrong. Turns out i had a bulging disk.
The surgeon offered for me to get a procedure done (an epidural) which consisted of getting a huge needle into your spine.
I got it done, but i didnt get any release from the pain.
So i had to meet the surgeon about 6 months later, he sent me for a second MRI, & turned out i had a second bulging disk!
He said it has a domino effect, in which after one goes wrong another could/will follow.
I went for a second Epidural several weeks ago, it was a different type of epidural, inwhich they decompressed my nerves in the areas i had the problem.
& Thankfully it worked! so for the first time in 2 years i can finally enjoy life to the fullest.
I was never negative about it, i stayed as active & positive about it. The medication was always a temporary thing to me, thats one of the reasons the surgeon took me so serious, as i wasnt looking for an excuse to stay on the medication.
The epidural will wear off in time, all i need to do is get it redone & get on with my life(This ad goes away when signing up) -

That's good to hear, man. It's often when we run into health problems that we realize what truly matters in life and how unimportant some things are. Sounds corny but it's true. Stay well.Michael Myers, Ordinary Joel and Creation like this.
