    People will claim "well she should have followed the officers orders" that still doesn't excuse this. He's a grown a--- man, she's a teenage girl. If you need to physically remove her from the room, fine but don't throw her desk on top of her and then throw her like a rag doll. Completely inexcusable.

    nah. nope.

    maybe she was a horribly disruptive student and maybe she needed to be kicked out of the classroom. the issue at hand w/r/t the video is the officer's use of force, which is not justified under any reasonable circumstances in a classroom. the guy's department agreed.

    aggressive police behavior is literally always the cops fault. theyre trained to not let a situation cloud their judgment. if it does, its their fault.

    God, being an educator for some of these kids would be sooo frustrating. Bleeding hearts can pretend to be righteous if they want. I'd love for them to teach in some of these high schools. My mom worked in a hs outside DC for roughly a decade -- she was very happy to get another job.

    Obviously, she never put someone in a headlock lol, but failing to recognize the larger realities regarding desocialization, and putting responsibility solely on authority figures misses the point imo

    Almost all schools have campus cops if I'm not mistaken. One time i got stopped by one and threatened with a ticket because i left campus during lunch and walked across the street to dairy queen

    Like i was saying earlier, it's hugely detrimental to the learning environment because kids are gonna act up sometimes and now it's an entire legal process. Every time there was a fight both parties got ticketed. Senior pranks were risky af because if you got caught they'd fine you and withhold your diploma.

    It's funny how people talk s--- about the cop based on the 15 seconds, before knowing what happened before and after lol. If he kept asking her to please come with him he would look like a loser, of course he had the right to take her away if she didn't listen after telling her multiple times. I don't feel sorry fer her acting like she's tough 'I'm not going to listen to the cops'.

    However, I do agree he should have handled it differently. Taking her away, fine, but this was too harsh, true.
