    No, she would of sat there and continued to be ignorant and disrupt the class. She needed to be removed so why is the cop gonna waste his time being nice? She needed to be taught a lesson since she obviously has parenting issues. I think he didn't have to go that far but I'm not complaining.

    If there was no threat of violence there was no need to put a high schooler in a headlock.

    If you can't remove her by asking, have the class go to another room

    Wait until the girl comes to her senses. This isn't life or death. You have the time and opportunity to figure out what's wrong or what's going on

    Yeah. Lets just completely stop the class and ask them to leave so we're not to mean to this girl. Hes not there to work out her issues, hes there to remove her. I already said I don't approve of throwing her but I just think we should cut him a little slack and not feel so sorry for this b----.

    God, being an educator for some of these kids would be sooo frustrating. Bleeding hearts can pretend to be righteous if they want. I'd love for them to teach in some of these high schools. My mom worked in a hs outside DC for roughly a decade -- she was very happy to get another job.

    Obviously, she never put someone in a headlock lol, but failing to recognize the larger realities regarding desocialization, and putting responsibility solely on authority figures misses the point imo

    Fine if you feel that way, I disagree.. letting someone who is under arrest decide how it's going instead of the police is wrong imo

    they arent letting the suspect "decide how its going," imo, theyre just not escalating a non violent situation. police need to learn how to handle situations like this better. and that does involve more talking and less aggression. obviously its gonna end with her getting wrapped up and then handcuffed, but there's no middle ground anymore.

    I get that I'm being stubbornly biased in my reaction. But in my opinion cops should be held to an unfairly high standard. It's what they signed up for and what they should be striving for everyday. If you think there was any need for aggression in this situation we clearly don't see eye to eye. As I've said, I'd rather move the entire class in this situation before trying to drag her out of the room. It's a f---ing high school man, figure out what's wrong with the student. There's no need to strong arm every situation u know
