Sorry if you guys don't think this deserves a thread, but I needed somewhere to f---ing vent. I'm so f---ing pissed off right now.

Something that I don't typically share with a lot of people is that my uncle is gay. Sure, there's no issue with that at all, but apparently some a--- holes had a problem with it. Another fact about him is that he's disabled and has lived his entire life trying to help disabled people and get a college degree in social work, which he is currently on his way to getting next spring. (or was) Except some assholes decided to ruin his life Saturday.

This past Saturday, he was up late at the library and was leaving shortly after 11pn, when some guys decided to beat the living s--- out of him. They also stole his laptop, (with all of his schoolwork on it) phone, wallet, and keys. Then they went to his car and took his walker, cane, and chair.

He was taken to the hospital when found and doesn't remember anything. He recognizes our voices, but can't remember our names. He remembers getting assaulted, but can't remember his dogs or anything. He's been in the hospital since and expects to get out soon. He never did anything wrong, ever. He's one of the nicest people I know and got treated how no one should EVER have to.

Don't really wanna sound like an attention whor-, but hopefully ya'll can keep him in your prayers... Recognize that this could be your mother, sister, girlfriend, etc... This is a sick world we live in.

Man, that's f----- up. The fact that some people can do that type of s--- and sleep well at night without it bothering their consious or feeling any remorse is beyond me.

Was this a random attack or because he's gay/disabled? I know in the long run that's irrelevant but I just couldn't understand that part from your story.

I'm sorry this happened to him whether it was random or planned.

dude ur far from an attention whor-. this is awful and i dont know how i can help but to say I hope his condition isnt permanent and that his memory returns. He deserves much more than he's been given.
