Nov 3, 2015 This isn't an argument or rhetoric question, but really, out of curiosity, now that I'm talking with a Kanye and Beatles fan, Did they make three consecutive albums that were as good/as different as 808s mbdtf yeezus? I just wanna know
Nov 3, 2015 You could almost take your pick from any 3 consecutive albums, Rubber Soul onward. Rubber Soul to Revolver to Sgt. Peppers are 3 VERY different albums, and are also considered, by just about every respected musical publication/website/blog/critic, to be among the best albums ever made. Yet, they sound so so different. The White Album, Magical Mystery Tour and Abbey Road are no different. These are all albums (with the exception of MMT) that are routinely placed among the best albums ever made. All of them are very different from each other. This is one of the major reasons The Beatles are considered to be so good. They kept evolving, and changing, and pushing the boundaries of their own careers, as well as pop music. Most of this is true for a lot of the artists you listed in your original post. They didn't earn their respective positions throughout music royalty by simply churning out the same old song, over and over again. They all grew and evolved. Not to take anything away from Kanye, because I do believe he's one of the best to ever do it in hip-hop, particularly with reinventing himself with each new project, but please don't be mistaken..he's simply the next name on the growing list of great artists that found new ways to get better and better.
Nov 3, 2015 but yeah, kanye is def the best artist of this generation. his ambitious attempts to further the genre birthed an entire subgenre, and laid the foundation for so many great artists. that's more than most other artists can say from this generation he isn't the best rapper alive, but it's easy to forgive that when he's rapping over timeless production (that HE produced). and as he is a producer first, he is also excellent at utilizing the talent of others to fit the sound that he wants to project. that's contrasted by artists who get a feature artist and sound like they're rapping over their track. idk, he's just really good. no amount of kanye fuckery away from the booth will ever persuade my opinion of his music.
Nov 3, 2015 to all americans if he gets elected 2020 he is confirmed illumanity that surely gonna make me hate him ...
