Nov 8, 2015 but there's rappers with zero connection to anybody who are beasts it's not like drake where he can ask people to "put him on", lol if you're not at the right place at the right time, oh well.
Nov 8, 2015 yeah i get it, but for every rapper that made it there are at least 100 who worked just as hard, wanted it just as bad, had the same attitude/wishful thinking and did nothing
Nov 8, 2015 long story short it's better to be positive and hopeful than negative and pessimistic. The law of attraction is real and negative thoughts attract negative things and viceversa Yes you can be the most positive person on earth and still get hit by a bus or you can be a depressed negative b------ and still win the lottery but you're looking at it wrong with that sort of logic
Nov 8, 2015 i dont think skill is the only variable. but even if it is, then whats the point of good attitude/wishful thinking if you are wack?
Nov 8, 2015 i disagree man, they probably were better than the guy with the connections tbh not saying that every unsigned, hardworking rapper isn't garbaggio, a lot of them are
Nov 8, 2015 Well, you have to be both lol If you're dumb you can't be successful that's sad but true If you're talented but you don't think you are/don't bother trying you won't be too
Nov 8, 2015 Do you think its really so black and white? How do bad things happen to infants then? How can they attract bad things if they still can't differ good from bad?
Nov 8, 2015 Wack at rapping/merchandising yourself. I believe that connections, especially in 2015, are something you can force.
Nov 8, 2015 but there are a lot of dumb successful people and smart intelligent people who barely make ends meet
Nov 8, 2015 @KND It's all about an attitude in my opinion. Look... My ex left me year ago for some punk. I was drunk almost every single day from last October untill January, this year. I've decided to stop, but I was still drinking with my homies from time to time. When things started to look better, my grandma suddenly died. She was one of the closest people to me... Then one of my best friends died, exactly month ago. s--- looks deppresive af, right? But I've looked at this from different perspective - I'm alive, I've got all life ahead of me. If I'd just sit and cry about how s-----y this life seems to be, I'd go crazy really quick. If you stay positive, you see more - more better things in life... I'm clean and sober, happy about my life. Like I've said - It's all about an attitude. Btw. Sorry for my broken english
Nov 8, 2015 Yeah there are really lucky dumb people who had the connections/luck since they were born But I think the bigs, aka jay z, Kanye, nas, the Beatles, eminem, Steve jobs, Walt Disney and those are just really confident, smart and talented people who are willing to sacrifice something to be what they are
Nov 8, 2015 yes. of course it does. anyone saying "no your mentality doesn't play a big role in your life!" doesn't know what they're talking about
Nov 8, 2015 I got a very similar situation last year and i was with a great attitude before everything happened, and since then my belief in attitude is not so strong
Nov 8, 2015 How? The market is over saturated. There's more people fighting for a spot now more than ever.
Nov 8, 2015 Sometimes it's too hard, I know... But think about it - you're still alive and YOU DON'T HAVE TIME, the clock is ticking... Are you gonna waist your time for bad mood? It's not worth it
Nov 8, 2015 I think a lot of people spend more time thinking about the things they want instead of appreciate what they have. This is one of the biggest clichés ever but I do see it a lot around me. So yeah for that I do think the way you look at things can make a difference in how happy you are. Don't think it changes your luck or bad luck, but if you have a decent/good life, you have it better than a lot of others
