I actually posted that in another thread, but i want to hear more opinions.

You always hear that your attitude/mentality can determine your life. People often say it's all mental, you got to believe in yourself, it's all in your head, but is that actually true? I know so many people with quote on quote bad attitude, always complaining about small stuff, being pesimistic and so on, but at the end of the day they are doing pretty good, no major problems and so on. And there is another group, who have good attitude, being optimistic and all and it seems that these people struggle a lot and life beats them down a lot. Ofc there are people with good attitude that are doing good and people with bad attitude that are struggling, but does your attitude really matters that much or it is all about luck?

Yeah I think good mentality helps you to achieve something. It's easier to focus on something you got to do.

On the real though, part of me believes life is predetermined. We aren't any different than NBA draft prospects. "Yeah, he has a low ceiling", "Yeah, he has potential", people are not equal. The cards we are dealt with stay the same. We can play the game, even cheat a little, but the rules never change.

I think people who went trough struggles learned how to positive things.

But if you wanna be big, you gotta think you're already big. Being successful doesn't mean being happy tho

Definitely an optimist, I try to always see the bright side and the good in everyone. There's way too many people out there who have such a s--- attitude. I think it's imperative to make an effort to go out of your way and do something for someone else, even if it's just a smile. No matter how small the action, you don't know what someone else is going through. It can really make a difference in their day.

Oh, s---. C-Wizzy forgot some of you new n----s don't know what ABAP means.

ABAP means, as ballin as possible. All successful people, all of them, follow that strict policy.

    ABAP, baby.

yeah that was i meant. Even with the best attitude you still can go to s--- and vice versa. If you have a big potential, good attitude seems to unlock it to the fullest, but if you are don't it doesnt matter whats in your head

Even more sports comparisons, you can be the hardest working player on the team, but when Chad Warden rolls thru with a jumper that's like ice water, you won't learn that. You can practice for as long as you want, you'll never be as good as somebody who has it naturally.

if we need to make another sports comparison, do you think best sportsman are best because naturally they had a great attitude or their potential and fast learning in the beginning stages of them becoming professional sportsman gave them a confidence boast that ended up in a good attitude

Imagine you'd like to be a rapper.

If you don't have the confidence to start rapping, to ask bigger guys to feature on your tracks or to go to a record label, you won't get nowhere

Some pro athletes have played drunk/high. Vin Baker, Ron Artest, both great basketball players who can play at an elite level under the influence. It's a natural gift, not saying they didn't work hard, but if you are born with big hands, 6'6, with a high vert...these physical things are predetermined IMO.
