Nov 18, 2015 I understand that but I'm not a professional debater so what, this caught me on a bad day I'm not gonna cater to feelings every time.
Nov 18, 2015 Why does the average American citizen have to feel guilty about things they had nothing to do with? I don't feel bad for the Syrian refugees, in a responsibility kind of way. I sympathize with them, fleeing war is admirable and understandable. But I go to bed at night with a clean conscious. I'd imagine those in higher power don't have that luxury.
Nov 18, 2015 The average American lives in a democracy. It's not a dictatorship, so basically they have ALL the power to do something about it and thus feel responsible...
Nov 18, 2015 canada is aiming to have 25 thousand brought in by january 1st i guess we're like a crash test dummy for the states or somethin
Nov 18, 2015 it's not that bad of a day but I seriously got frustrated reading through this thread anyways so my bad if I didn't have a 5 page report a power point and cited material to bring to this "debate"
Nov 18, 2015 Here in Ontario, we're apparently taking 10,000 of those refugees. Trudeau gets to import a new voting block for himself, good for him. Hope he enjoys the next 10 years of him being cool multicultural weed man who has no idea what he's doing.
Nov 18, 2015 This has nothing to do with the citizens, that's the thing. It's the lobbyists that dictate what politicians do. You can vote in whoever you want but unless they have a nice AIPAC donation I don't see them getting too far.
Nov 18, 2015 Erm.. i think you're making a joke right? Then how do you even defend the west bringing their 'fake' democracy to middle eastern countries ?
Nov 18, 2015 I accidentally typed "nillions" and it autocorrected to billions, thought i fixed it tho, i guess not. Carry on.
Nov 18, 2015 Fun fact: zero terrorists who have committed atrocities on American soil have needed to go through immigration to do so If terrorists want in they're getting in either way, might as well save some lives while we're at it A terrorist going through immigration and subjecting themselves to more rigorous background checks (ESPECIALLY given the circumstances) would be like a student trying to get to class by running track and going out of his way to jump over the hurdles
Nov 18, 2015 its ok.. try not to get too frustrated though. you don't have to be nice either. just open minded.
Nov 18, 2015 IT DOESNT f---ing MATTER T D O E S E N T F U C K I N G M A T T E R What's happened happened. Who is to blame is irrelevant. The situation needs to be dealt with, not mulled around and passing the blame back and forth while the terrorists plot more attacks.
Nov 18, 2015 I T M A T T E R S The ones responsible who caused this to happen have to step forward and admit all the blame thats rightfully theirs. That will take some courage but it would make the world of difference to families who've fled or lost their loved ones because of US foreign policy and then the terrorists can no longer easily breed off of hatred for the West ...
