Nov 21, 2015 logic can rap well in the most basic sense. he's well-intentioned. he's a nice guy. he wasn't an industry plant. but the truth of the matter is that he's totally unremarkable. where travis scott is biting a handful of people who are very popular right now, then turning around and trying to package it as visionary art, logic is an enthusiastic guy who loves his influences and wants to make music like them. he's an imitator more than a biter, but that's just as artistically uninspired. if he came out 20 years ago he would have been lost in the din of guys who rap like that, but do it in an original way and/or have something to say. in short, he knows how to rap but fails in just about every respect as an artist. kids buying his album four times should buy it once, then use the extra money to do their research.
Nov 21, 2015 to my knowledge he was signed in the summer of 2012 and didn't announce until the spring of 2013, but he didn't really drop any music in that time or go on a big promo push. so it was as much about using the deal as part of a promo cycle as anything.

Nov 21, 2015 Yeah It's not that he can't rap it's just that there is absolutely nothing interesting in his music at all.. his bars are average too I don't think i've ever heard a great line from him just generic s--- most of the time. Like that 9 minute track Under Pressure that's supposed to be some crazy rap s--- but it's basic as f---. He tries too hard to sound like some of his contemporaries. Basically he has no style and should just stick to rubik's cubes
