I've been around since rap basement, then studio leaks and now section eighty. I just never post anything cause I like to read the site more than participate. I feel compelled to post in here due to the fact of my complete 180 on thugger. I hated him 1 month ago. He wore women's clothes, said weird h--- stuff like bae and hubby and sounded like a moaning mumbling idiot to me, honestly. I used to actually enjoy lifestyle because I found it funny that his lyrics sounded like blahdjfkfkfjfkfjdmdndmdmdm....beginning!!!!
Then I heard rarri after seeing it posted here as b-----r of the year. I actually liked it and I hated that I liked it. Then I heard quarterback and enjoyed that. From there I started downloading his library of songs and now Im basically am addicted and enjoy everything he does. Slime season 3. Let gooooo

It reminds me of how when you listen to any genre other than rap it's just about the vibe and the rythym over the instrumental not just a focus on bars.

Heard lifestyle and it was hilarious to me how different it was but uneducated dust heads were knocking it. His frequent collabs with Travis really exposed me to his work and after a couple months of casual listening I became a pretty big fan

It was definitely a gradual process. When I first heard Lifestyle back in 2014, I was like, "the f--- is this n----- sayin? What happened to #reelhiphop?"
Then I heard Check and I tried my best to hate it. But I kept coming back to the youtube video almost everyday. It was so catchy and his flow felt infectious. Then Thug released the video for With That and I was like instant blassic. Didn't check out his mixtapes till this month tho. Slime Season 1 and 2 are one of the best projects of this year imo. SS2 especially. I know that he has a huge discography so I got a s--- ton of work to put in
Nobody forced me to like him or anything, I think I just developed an affinity for his style. You should definitely give him a shot.

I first heard him on Gucci's mixtapes and then the Young Thugga La Flare mixtape they did together. I didn't like him at all back then but after Check, Again, Slime /season 1 & 2 he has grown on me. Great selection of beats and stays on point.
