Nov 26, 2015 I "stand in opposition" because I said how my list would differ. Everybody in this thread had done that. I regularly agree and disagree with you. Like all members. I would assume you also like the Coen Brothers. Maybe more than I do. I dunno where you even came up with that one. I post about a lot more topics than that. I wouldn't have 2 rappers from New Orleans on my list. I don't think 97% of rap critics would have Boosie in their top 10 either. I'll remember to say "in my opinion" and detail what I've heard from him next time so you don't get uncomfortable when somebody disagrees with you.
Nov 26, 2015 tru haha. i guess if you are being particular with whether its an individual, take them out and leave both kanye and em
Nov 26, 2015 it doesnt matter if you consider 2 or 0, literally every kanye album has been lauded by critics and is a classic to a different group of people. I know people in their late 20s who consider Graduation his best project/an undeniable classic lol TCD/LR sure are in my opinion, dont really see how they arent from just a quality pov. MBDTF obviously is. Yeezus and Graduation are debatable. 808s is for its impact on the genre.
Nov 26, 2015 of course it matters. it matters if we are going to be debating an imaginary top 10 list instead of pointing to other people's opinions. i dont think graduation yeezus 808s or MBDTFs are classics. ill be honest i never thought kanye's rapping was ever that great. MBDTF is sickeningly overrated. his first two albums are great though and hands down better than his other stuff. id never listen to 808s and compare it to other ATG albums because it doesnt stack up to other ATG albums. and there are people who think 2pacs 5 original studio albums are all classics. so i could just say that 2pac has 5 consecutive classic albums and then when you disagree with me, i could say how critics and fans and everyone else all love his 5 albums. but i dont know about throwing s--- around like that.
Nov 26, 2015 lmaooooooo two questions: 1. why wouldn't you have two rappers from the same city? what about new york? i have two rappers from the same borough on here. 2. do you really expect me to take your opinion of boosie seriously when you think he's from new orleans?
Nov 26, 2015 I feel like people just try to ignore Eminem's raw talent he had in his prime. Putting Wayne over Em in any list is a disgrace.
Nov 26, 2015 I would take out Lil Wayne and put Pusha T. No argument for why, I'm just a blind fangay. Very good list though. One of the best I've seen probably. "My music taste is superior cause I like the Beatles, bob Dylan and pink floyd and also listen to rap. I also have a better knowledge on the subject" Pffft
Nov 26, 2015 MBDTF is a classic you idiot. Even if you don't like kanyes rapping you should still be able to appreciate the features on it.
Nov 26, 2015 don't really get the cam'ron fandom tbh. i mean he's a really "cool" rapper to like with a few quality projects/a borderline classic but he's been nowhere near kanye's height (mbdtf) or been as consistent. wayne has also been putting out embarrassing music for 6+ years. never listened to a boosie project either so I can't comment on that but it's definitely a surprise.
Nov 26, 2015 I personally like em more in his prime, but that doesn't mean Wayne isn't the better choice in this list. Wayne contributed much more to the soundscape of hip hop than Em. Em was a very short lived anomaly.
