This made me realise how far technology is I'm sitting in a car at the other side of the world holding a small screen in my hand looking at live helicopter footage from the other side of the world

Wrong. Gun culture is very prominent in Australia albeit different to america's gun culture. Nearly anyone who doesn't live in/near a major city owns a gun in Australia. Every farmer in Australia has a gun as well, or they lose a lot of money to pests.
This is the common misconception that all Americans have when talking about guns. I don't know where you're hearing things like "all guns will be illegal" ???? Like, that's not even the case in Australia. Gun Control Laws and the complete ban of guns are 2 completely different things. Gun control laws in Australia make it so you can only legally own a gun, if you're sane and if you plan on doing gun-y things with the gun. Like shooting at shooting ranges, killing animals on a farm that are near death/too injured and hunting/killing pests in the outback.

Every time this happens it's the same thing someone says "oh gun control" and all the Americans go "No! taking our guns wont work!" yeah well everything you've done since columbine has been a real deterrent.

If he's got a funny name and a beard he's a terrorist, in all other cases he's a school shooter

Gun laws do nothing to stop this kind of s---. f--- is wrong with you? Maybe they should just add gun and rpg laws in terrorist areas. That will stop things from blowing up right? Foh.
