Dec 8, 2015 last i heard, he's producing it and kendrick is doing 90% of the vocals but a1 joke. can't wait for a tape full of these J. cole's best produced beat ever imo
Dec 8, 2015 What's 'so much wrong' with the post? I wasn't excited for Cole + Kendrick until the Black Friday tracks released. Made me realize the J. Cole collab is the only sure-fire way to bring Kendrick back to true form. His Black Friday release was better than all of TPAB combined.
Dec 8, 2015 When I listen to it, I don't think "That certain song or that one is out of place" at all on the album. When I listen to it, It flows perfectly from start to end. Does it get boring at times? Yes. "How Much A Dollar Cost" is a good example of this. But everything was sequenced together very well. When I think of something random would be like...if he put "Real" in the middle of King Kunta and These Walls. They don't have the same overall sound, and would be off-putting. But this collection of songs I think work fine in the order they're presented in.
Dec 8, 2015 they changed the committee after kendrick lost against macklemore... there's black people in it now and they're probably the reason why "i" won all its grammy last year
Dec 8, 2015 The "musical masterpiece" but boring/bad "hip hop album" comment rubbed me the wrong way TBH
Dec 8, 2015 Lol "I" was a perfect example of a pity nomination. It only won cause they wanted to make up for last year.
Dec 8, 2015 nobody is denying it (except the tryhards who feel insecure about their favorite rapper) All the goat musicians, critics and people with great musical knowledge have already said tpab is a musical masterpiece
Dec 8, 2015 not at all... they changed the committee (more black people, also there ommas who f---s with nothing but soul & jazz music) and the rules for the rap categories are different (since the macklemore fiasco)
Dec 8, 2015 Wouldn't you too if you voted for Macklemore for BEST RAP ALBUM over GKMC? That'd be a slap in the face to me if anyone ever found out I voted for Macklemore over Kendrick and didnt try to redeem it in some way.
Dec 8, 2015 If you haven't already, listen to these: The margin between this and the best song on TPAB all of the TPAB songs combined is roughly the distance from LAX to JFK.
