Dec 11, 2015 Beginning in late 2014 and all throughout 2015, we were able to witness an artist go on a run that many rappers never have or will. Starting with Beast Mode dropping in January, we get a gritty Future over Zaytoven's keys who produces the tape in whole. Jump to March and Nayvadius drops another mixtape on us titled 56 Nights in reference to DJ Esco's stay in a Dubai prison for, as you would guess, 56 days. 56 Nights is a shot of adrenaline from Future consisting of production entirely from Southside and Tarentino. As if two mixtapes that could very well have been albums weren't enough, we get his third album with the release of Dirty Sprite 2. Future going back to his roots and even has said that this album is for the Itchin fans. It is arguably one of the best albums of 2015 holding 13 tracks of consistency and self loathing that many people may miss. Come late August, we begin to hear rumors of a collaboration project between Drake & Future. Very like Drake to make this happen and hop on the Future wave while he still can. Created in six days and released on September 20th, What A Time To Be Alive is a collaboration album between the two but it just feels like nine Future tracks with Drake in there somewhere. Drake seems to be way out of his league and comfort zone while Future floats over the tape easily, especially on tracks such as Live From The Gutter. It is safe to say that 2015 was Future's year. With the new year coming in and Southside saying that Future has six albums and three mixtapes ready at the time, we could very well get one last project before the end of 2015. The possible releases of long-awaited projects such as Beast Mode 2, Monster 2, and Ape s--- are still a matter of when, not if, we could see Future's legendary run very well continue into 2016. Let the top 10 begin. @FutureHive 10. Where I Came From - Beast Mode 9. Percocet & Stripper Joint - DS2 8. Live From The Gutter - WATTBA 7. Blood On The Money - DS2 6. Trap n----s - 56 Nights 5. Lay Up - Beast Mode 4. Thought It Was A Drought - DS2
Dec 11, 2015 March Madness and News Or Something have the 1 and 2 spots pretty much locked down. In for 10 - 3
Dec 11, 2015 Would have loved to see Future win the grammy for RAOTY over K. Dot & J. Snore with Dirty Sprite 2
Dec 11, 2015 10. Where I Came From One of my personal favorites from Beast Mode. It is everything you would expect from a Zaytoven and Future collab. Smooth vocals from Future and Zaytoven playing the keys better than Beethoven. Many say Zaytoven complements Migos better than Future which is very understandable but it is also undeniable that Future can run with it just as good. Future keeps it safe on this track but also is gritty at the same time. I used to trap out my grandma house We get it poppin on any corner I serve my auntie that water s--- I served my momma that water @FutureHive #9 Coming tomorrow.
Dec 11, 2015 nah just like @MTY and @BigCountry and its only "true" in the vaguest sense...if you actually break it down, future probably has higher highs with zay than migos.
Dec 11, 2015 I love Migos but I feel that they can get boring at times. Using the same flow on many tracks gets old. Those are the only beats Migos can go over as well, Future is much more versatile when it comes to beat selection and actually sounding good. I don't think we would get anything good out of a Migos track on production the likes of say, Future's Hardly.
Dec 11, 2015 Could I get this featured as well? Feel like we either barely have any Future fans or no one gives a f---, or both.
Dec 11, 2015 Me picking a favorite song from Beast Mode is like asking me who is my favorite family member, I love them all the same for different reasons
Dec 11, 2015 Very diverse mixtape. This list would be a lot different if I was able to include Monster.
Dec 11, 2015 Yeah I can imagine, h--- you can make two different top 10s and both would be equally as good
Dec 11, 2015 Haven't heard that one, probably sucks though since Drake always comes with the renegade
