With all do respect man after reading that yeah you probably won't do anything with your music. The sad part is it will have nothing to do with the music you make and ultimately be because you didn't try. If you're that confident you won't make it then, well yeah, you probably won't because it was over before it even started for you. I understand it's not conventional or "any job you can pick up" but is that really what you want? That's that whole risk/reward thing. We get one chance to play this game called life and 99.% of the people on this planet choose to play it on the easiest difficulty setting. Whether it's fear of failure, going against the norm, whatever..... that's just how it is and that's why most people don't do s--- in life. I'm just saying we're living in 2015 and any-f---ing-thing is possible. No connections and exposure? Again, it's 2015. You've got to be kidding me. Look at Slim Jesus and Stitches. Look what they've done and it's ALL because of social media. They may be the laughing stock of message boards but they've got more ambition and gumption than any of the people hating on them. If they can do something with music surely you can. To go all in and fail >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> looking back and thinking God d--- what if?
That's just my two cents though.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

"Barter 6 is as important to Thug’s career as To p---- A Butterfly is to Kendrick’s in that they’re both wholly personal portraits painted by two distinctly unique, and seemingly predestined, hip hop artists."
the sentence that almost got me beheaded in the staff section. lol.
nowadays its perfectly normal for someone on this forum to go as far as to say thug is better than kendrick. lol, we've come a long way. im proudLast edited: Dec 21, 2015Deadpool, shahidah, Ordinary Joel and 5 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Anyway I'm a copyeditor right now but my dream job is to be the head editor of a large music/culture publication where I just sit in an armchair and get unreleased albums sent to my inbox while my workhorses like @Narsh write reviews and I rake in the cash.Cerrone, Deadpool, Ordinary Joel and 5 others like this. -

Bruh I have no idea what I'm doing writing/editing. After spending weeks applying for jobs with lots of forms and cover letters and writing samples to send in and such I applied for one offhand via a recruitment agency where all I had to do was submit my resume. Out of all the ones I spent hours on, I had two phone interviews and heard nothing back after that. I got a call back on the easy one I applied for as an afterthought and now I have a job in my field.
Back in january, I randomly PM'd hasman before I knew him saying I was interested in writing for the blog. Other than some track-by-track reviews I wrote when I was 19-20, I'd never written an album review before. Two months later I had To p---- A Butterfly in my inbox. I still don't know what the f--- I'm doing. It's not always gonna happen like that, but it's not gonna happen at all if you don't put yourself out there. -

I really want to get a lot more (paid) web design side jobs and get out of debt. One full-time job supporting my wife and I isn't enough and it's still a while til she gets out of law school. Doing too much charity web design for family and actual charities that I could be taking more time to find more paid work/find a higher paying web design full time job.

I feel like buying a plane ticket and showing everything I know behind the turntables/mixer with @Cyreides you can do it bruh
On some real s--- I always wanted to be a professional soccer player and I'm still trying even if that train seems like it's getting farther away. Honestly I just want to continue being involved in that sport in whatever fashion possible whether it's writing about it, playing it and/or coaching it. Never thought I'd end up leading two different teams to glory this year on my first time going solo, if there's anything I've learned is that you can't sit down and wait for the good things in life you gotta go for them and stomp anything that stands in your way. -
